    Exclamation Locked out

    Hey,

Recently I started up Ubuntu and it asked me for user name and password, I typed in the username and password that I normally use and it says login error. I would try and fix this by booting up Knoppix but of course my computer wont let me boot from CD anymore will it, any ideas of bypassing login or getting password back without having login access?

    cheers

    * Why won't it boot from CD?

    * You can boot into single-user mode (as detailed here) and change passwords (unless you're also locked out of your bootloader).

What do you mean? Did you set it to boot to CD in the BIOS, or are you locked out of the BIOS too?
