    installing from cd-rw


    I burned an unbuntu 6.06 iso image onto cd-rw and tried to install. But installation froze. I burned the same image on a cd-r and installation went fine. How did this happen? I burned the same image on both.
    Also I tried playing mp3s on my windows partion using amarok media player, but didn't play, amarok on Suse can play mp3 from windows?

    I also had the cd-rw problem and burning it again at lower speed solved it . In order to play mp3 you need to download the codecs. The easiest way to do that is installing easy ubuntu from http://easyubuntu.freecontrib.org/get.html
    with this utility you'll be able to install if you want java and flash plugins among other things
