I have ubuntu 5.10 on my box. The problem I am facing is that whenever I switch to a tty, it does so, and I can switch between all the ttys, but when I switch back to my display (F7), I get a black screen with a mouse, the screen periodically blinks and the mouse pointer turns to "wait mode" and back to "normal" during this but I never get anything past that. The display manager is gdm.
