Editing services in a runlevel...no rc-update???
Hi
I have Ubuntu 5.10 on my box. And I want to remove some of the services running in a particular runlevel. The command rc-update does not seem to exist and so is the file rc.conf. How can I get over this?
Thanks in advance.

As far as I know, Ubuntu like Debian, runs everything in runlevel 2 and like many Linux distros does not use the rc.conf configuration file. There is a good article here, that will help you solve your problem.
