Troubled with wireless
I am having problems with unbuntu 5.10 and having it reconize my broadcom 4306 wireless lan card which is an internal card in my compaq presario v2000 laptop. I currently am setup with a dual boot to windows xp, the but was selectedthe last time I was is windows so it shoudl see it, I believe.
A few questions though....Before you post with the links to the instructions I have already been through them and I still can't figure it out.
Do I need to be in range of a wireless ap in order to get this to be reconized?
Also I would like to have the option of seeing both my interal wireless nic and internal lan card. Currently only the lan card is shown.
Any help.
Thanks in advance.

Or see how others did with the same machine :
