    How to read kernel log

I've been having some serious stability problems in my k7 kernel in ubuntu 6.06, and I want to check the logs to see if its hardware related or what.

So my question is how do i read these logs? Do i need to install an app to do it, or is it there in plain text and where would that text file be?

    Thanks in advance

There are lots of logs in /var/log. You probably want /var/log/kern.log*.
