    How do I use apt-get behind a proxy?


    My problem is that I am behind a proxy so apt-get can't reach the servers for downloading applications.

    How can I connect apt-get to internet?

    try setting the http_proxy env. variable
    Code:
    http_proxy=http://username:password@host:port/
    export http_proxy
    (in bash)
