Unhappy Need help installing ATi driver in Breezy....

I'm having major problems installing the ATi driver in Ubuntu 5.10. I followed the directions on this page:

    http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubu...allation_Guide

Everything goes exactly as planned, but the driver just doesn't install.
I have an ATi Radeon 9250/SE.

Any suggestions or advice are greatly appreciated.

    Martin.

Did you try method 2? If you follow it step by step it's almost bulletproof. For the mostpart you can just paste the commands into the terminal. If you get any errors post them back.

What is the result of running
    Code:
    fglrxinfo

    Thanks for the reply

I used method 2, and all appeared to be fine, there were no error messages.

    Code:
    martin@DEAD-RECKONING:~$ fglrxinfo
    display: :0.0 screen: 0
OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa GLX Indirect
    OpenGL version string: 1.2 (1.5 Mesa 6.2.1)
    Any Ideas?

    Thanks again,

    Martin
