    installed into wrong dir

    I just installed Avidemux and when i did the ./configure and make it installed it into an obscure dir that i download files to.

    Is it possible to move the install dir to /usr/local without messing up anything?

    Code:
    deuce@deucenet:~$ sudo find / -name "avidemux?"
    /media/hda2/Internet/avidemux-2.1.2/avidemux/avidemux2

    It really sounds like you have not run
    Code:
    # make install
    yet. Do this with root-permissions and it should install in a better directory.

    If you have already done the 'make install' you will have to run the ./configure and make commands again as:
    Code:
    # ./configure --prefix=/{INSTALL-DIR}
    # make
    # make install
