Ubuntu 6.06 - minimum system requirements
What are the system requirements to run Ubuntu 6.06? I can run it on a PIII 600Mhz with 512Mb RAM but it won't run on my test machine (P-MMX 233Mhz with 128Mb RAM).
It hangs when booting from CD on "Mounting root file system..." or something to that effect.
Is my test machine just way too slow? I wouldn't think so because (surprisingly) it meets the requirements and runs Windows Server 2003.

Probably too "slow" to run the CD which AFAIK is the liveCD and then you install from that. I think they also have a non liveCD install version which may be fine. Of course 233mhz is pretty weak for a gnome install and 128 is about as low of memory as I would bother with.
