    VMWare CD drive problem

VMWare won't work correctly in my Ubuntu 6.10.

    I keep getting the error:
CD-ROM: '/media/cdrom1' exists, but does not appear to be a CD-ROM device.
Virtual device ide1:0 will start disconnected.
whenever I power the virtual machine on. Anyone know why this is happening? That is where my CD drive is mounted...

    Solved.

VMWare wanted the device... not the folder where the CD gets mounted. I switched it from /media/cdrom1 to /dev/hda and now It works.
