    Angry CPU Overload! Aborting...

i am running ubuntu 6.10 on my desktop and just installed kubuntu-desktop. the problem is when i login to KDE my mouse hangs for a while (about 15 seconds) and then i get an error dialog:

    Error: artsbuilder.
    Cpu overload. Aborting.

i click the ok button but it repeats the error about 5 minutes later. This happens every 5 minutes!

I have kubuntu CD. when i boot up with that cd i get the same message too.

    Thanks for your help.

PS: i have the same message when i login to Gnome.

AFAIK, its a BUG in 'arts' module of 6.10.

    Card: VIA 8233
    Chip: Realtek ALC200,200P rev 0

and when i disable arts output i think it still uses a big amount of my cpu. i see my cpu usage is 100%

    execute this code in terminal.
    Code:
    echo "options snd-via82xx dxs_support=2" | sudo tee -a /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base
    reboot !
