    Power Management

    Hi,
I've been trying to find the power manager for my monitor in Kde but can't seem to find it. I've looked in Services, Settings, Control Center, and all the other menus. It's annoying when I've set up my Desktop and Screen Saver only to have it go blank after 15 or 20 minutes.
    Any ideas?

    You can do it manually.

open /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 (probably) in your favorite text editor in super user mode. scroll down to the section that looks something like this:
    Code:
    Section "Monitor"
            Identifier "NEC Multisync LCD 1850E"
            HorizSync 30-60
            VertRefresh 55-60
            Option "DPMS"
    EndSection
remove the line that says Option "DPMS".

For changes to take effect you must restart your X server. press CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE or just restart the computer altogether.
