    Root password


    when I want to run some task as the root and it ask for a password. I am not able to provide this when Installed ubuntu it never asked me to make a root password for this purpose. when I type sudo and it ask for the password what do I type?

    if you are using sudo then type YOUR password

    The initial password is a space. You can change it later.

    in Ubuntu LiveCD, Password is "Enter" key not 'space' and if you had installed Ubuntu, then 'root' password is the password of User you created during Ubuntu Installation.
