Question Ubuntu server, vsftpd.config is empty

    Hi,

I am a total linux newbie, and I seem to have messed up my vsftpd in some way.
When I try to edit vsftpd.conf, it comes up completely empty.
Is there any way I can fix this without writing the file myself? I really wouldn't want that .

Is there some way of re-installing it? Have looked around for a way to it, but couldn't figure it out.

Are you using sudo to try and edit?

    If not try this :

    Code:
    sudo nano /etc/vsftpd.conf

Sorry, I should have posted back with problem solved.

Removed and reinstalled vsftpd with apt-get, and that solved it.
