    Trouble Viewing Streaming Video

Im running Kubuntu edgy, on a non-64-bit AMD machine, with Firefox 2 and mplayerplug-in version 3.31.

When I go to CNN, BBC, or other streaming news video site, I dont seem to be able to view the videos. The player seems to come up ok, but the link just rotates and never comes up.

On this same box, I dual boot with SUSE 10.1 using Firefox 1.5.0.6 and mplayerplug-in 3.25, and everything works just fine on those sites.

Has anyone gotten the streaming videos to work from these sites? If so, what combination of browser/plugin did you use?

    Thanks.

I used Automatix to do all that stuff or there is Easyubuntu which I have also used.
