    Trouble installing limewire

I'm trying to install LimeWire and everything seemed to work fine in the installation. The program appears in my Applications->Internet, but when I click it nothing happens. Also I tried by just typing limewire in the terminal and I got the following error:
    " desktop:~$ limewire
    runLime.sh: 44: Syntax error: "(" unexpected (expecting "}") "

    I followed instructions from:
    http://easylinux.info/wiki/Ubuntu#Ho....28LimeWire.29
    and
    http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showthread.php?t=39850

I have the Multiuniverse and Universe enabled.
I have the Java 5.0 installed.

and I still can't figure out what is wrong...
