    you have to install Codecs.
install Automatix. it will display a list of packages. download and install 'Non Free Audio/Video Codecs' through it.
you can install codecs through Synaptic too but Automatix is best. it has a lot of other good stuff.

    L to the O to the L.

Last time I installed Windows on a box it took me a whole weekend to install, find drivers, and configure everything. Same box after I got fed up with Windows again (was for gaming, just subbed to Cedega) took me an hour to install Kubuntu 6.06 configure and update.

    Includes running the awesome Automatix.

Similar experience when upgrading from 2000 to XP. Upgrading from dapper to edgy though recently was a breeze.

    you are Welcome acid1212 !
try Automatix. it works like a charm and you will find almost all the packages you would ever need.
