    Kubuntu or Ubuntu?

I'm trying to install a bunch of linux distros to get a feel for which one is the best, and i was cuirious, what distro is better out of Kubuntu and Ubuntu? I know the only real diffrence between the two is the KDE desktop environment and Gnome, but I would still like some opinions.

Both are SAME except Desktop Managers KDE/Gnome, thats you already know.
Both are LiveCD installers... bootup and see what you like...

it depends on you, what you like...
different Desktop Manager means different set of applications and packages.
    what you like?
gedit or kate, wvdial or kppp, FireFox or Konqueror, Thunderbird or Kmail and list goes on...

You could do both,.. install ubuntu and then use apt to get kde (see http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_Edgy).

I used to like KDE, but now i use either, and don't really have much of a preference- they are pretty similar for most purposes.

ps. if you wanna try out different distributions, new OpenSuse (10.2) should be out within the next week or so, and it is probably worth trying.

    goodluck!
