    Smile Master Sound Control

Whenever I play music in a music player like Rhythmbox or Sound Juicer, I can control the sound only from the running program, but changing the master sound control does not affect the system at all. This is particularly irritating because I have keyboard sound control that Ubuntu seems to respond to (i.e. I can see the bar moving up and down, and I can see the master control muted), but the sound level is just not affected.

I tried and checked the Device Manager. How to I install the driver, or how can I solve this problem at all.

I appreciate your responses and your help.
