    Yes, in Ubuntu Edgy you can install it using Synaptic. It is in the multiverse repository.

    You don't have to download it, it is available in Synaptic.

    If you prefer the command line, then :
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install zsnes
    will do the job just as well.

    If you don't feel like configuring your repositories (and you should), you can download the .deb directly here.

    How does one configure the repositories? I don't think I have access to multiverse with synaptic as it is now.

    Press Alt+F2 and type this
    Code:
    gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list
    It will open sources.list file in Gedit. Remove # sing from lines having multiverse and universe words. Save file and execute this
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install zsnes
    In case it doesn't work. post the contents of sources.list file here.
