    No problem, i can wait... right now i have problem with my windows instalatin on one partiton it dont boot, I'm trying to fix it. My wife wants the windows partiton and we some file there that dont want to lost, but if no way to recover it i will format it.

    It's coming your way in a bubble wrap envelope. As long as the USPS doesn't play hockey with it the memory should be okay.

    Postage was only 63 cents so don't even worry about it.

    HI,
    I just try the same disk used to install on my Acer, on a Dell desktop and it install just fine, with no issues.

    Is normally that run better on desktop than on portables?

    it could be a graphics card problem. try Ubuntu Alternate CD. it has text based installer and its easy to fix GUI after installation.
    did you try "acpi=noapic" as suggested by d38dm8nw81k1ng?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
