Wireless internet and Kubuntu 6.10 Live
This is the way I've succeeded to connect to the net using the Kubuntu 6.10 Live CD. I hope somebody will find it useful:
1. Boot the system
2. Go to the KMenu/System Settings/Network settings
3. Push Administrator Mode
4. Configure the device: give the ESSID name of your provider, and Apply.
5. Open Konsole and type: kdesu konqueror.
6. Type in the web address (NOTE! The Konqueror will automatically add the www prefix, so you must not type it!!!)
Enjoy the surfing!
(If something is wrong, check wether your system recognizes your wireless card in KMenu/System/KInfo)

Since I wrote my notes about running Kubuntu 6.10 in LIVE MODE, I can't see possibilities to handle problem with unsupported wireless card. Eventualy you could install the system, then search for a driver via other OS, but that's another story.
