its just the codename to differentiate the versions, i guess its easier to remember than version 5.10 and 6.06 and 6.10, OR hoary hedgehog, warty warthog, dapper drake, edgy eft, and the upcomming feisty fawn? lol, a bit like mac os x, with panther, tiger, and leopard i suppose?? haha, i wonder what the next one will be?
