    Firefox help, also, I screwed up settings


    Ok, first, I dont know what i deleted but, i deleted the addresses in system>administration>network settings>DNS and now i cant access any repositorys....Ubuntu 6.10. Help.



    THen, firefox doesnt seem to "see" alot of webpages...Some work, some dont...
    For instence, http://www.openaddict.com work, loads i can surf the site, but http://www.google.com doesnt, address cannont be found. Help.
    Ubuntu 6.10, and Firefox 2.0.0.2.


    Any help would be greatly appriciated. I'm trying to get this set up for a buddy, he was haveing problems with kernel panics and what not...got 6.06 32bit working (was trkying to get the 64bit vertion to work, it dident). Then upgraded to 6.10 and firefox started acting funny.

    It seems that you are accessing the cached DNS in your PC. Go to Network Settings and enter the correct DNS settings. You may use OpenDNS also.

    The DNS Server addresses for OpenDNS are:

    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
