    Smile Media Player Plug-Ins

    Hi!
So i tried to play a DVD, and Ubuntu recognized the DVD but none of the media players will play it, and a pop up comes up saying that i do not have the appropriate plug ins. I've searched for these plug-ins and can't find them anywhere. Any suggestions of how i can watch a DVD? Thanks

You should try this link. i think it will help you get your DVDs playing. It will certainly give you an explanation of why the DVDs won't play.

All you need to do is install a few libraries and/or codecs.

OR download and install Automatix. select Non Free Audio/Video Codecs in Automatix List. there are a lot of other useful packages in its list.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
