Zelmo was right you need to change nv to nvidia in your xorg.conf file. I understand you tried that already, but (and take a backup of xorg.conf first as at least it is partially working at the moment) try it again and then post the error here from your
file just as you did the first time.Code:/var/log/Xorg.0.log

Oh sorry "adwilson99" I forgot to say in my last post that I DID change the "nv" to "nvidia" and "X" IS running and now, BUT "when I try running just about any of my games, one such as "tuxkart" they all give error messages something like this "Segmentation fault (core dumped)"". So the Facts are...
The "NVIDIA" logo IS Displayed when I start "X".
In the "Device" section of my "xorg.conf" is "nvidia" NOT "nv".

Hey I got it working! I used that "envy" program again and it worked.
