ALRIGHT YAY!!! IT WORKED!! Oh man thanks so much for all your help, I know you must be really annoyed with me. But I learned about Linux, so we both win :D I'm gonna try out surfing the web now in Linux. Woohoo, this is very exciting. Now when I go wireless, I can only imagine how much worse it'll be lol.

Sometimes I forget the simplest solution is always the best. In that case, /etc/network/interfaces is where the network cards are defined, that's where we should have looked first.
