I must be retarded
Im running Slackware 9.1, and im following the installation instructions, but i dont even know which directory to be in to run ./tools/wineinstall (it says to be in the top directory of wine, but i have no clue where that is). first i extracted it under a directory inside usr, but then i figured the files it extracted were supposed to be actually extracted to usr...So now, i have no clue what directory to be in to run the tool....
lil help?

I believe u need to look for your tools directory in the extracted files, wherever u have extracted it. in that directory you wqould find your wineinstall. check if it is executable and then use './wineinstall' to install the program.
