I've got a WnAve.exe that works upto a point under wine with the addition of a windows dll to the wine folder. The snag is that when I click the button to convert an avi to dvd winavi cannot find any codecs:-

"Can't decode this file! Maybe the file is broken or the relative decoder is not installed!"

I've tried installing codecs in the wine folder but I don't think they are registered properly even when the seem to be installed since the error remains. I recall reading somewhere that some entries need to be added manually to the wine registry. But I can't find anything about it now when I need the info.

Does anyone know how to fully install either individual codecs or a small codec pack to wine's windows folder? Or have any links to helpful pages?
