GameSpy Arcade on Wine

Hi all

I have Kubuntu 7.04 dist running, with 2.6.20 kernel
I have been trying to execute GS Arcade on Wine for several weeks
It is a shame cause I remember I could execute on an older dist... I don't understand how I can execute "harder" apps like 3D games, but I can't run GS

I have read the related bug at
Bug 1880 – gamespy arcade crashes wine

Try installing Internet Explorer then running with shdocvw set to native.
We currently don't implement this DLL to any real extent.

(I think) I have installed Internet Explorer, but...
Now... the stupid question :S
How can I run it with shdocvw set to native? How (and where) can I configure that?

Solved

Downloading & installing the GS Arcade through IE makes program run perfectly


Note:
I have installed IE this way
Es/Instalación - IEs4Linux
If you do the same you must take on care that IE creates its own wine drive
folders, so you must put your folder games on it

For example...
I had some game on
/home/USER/.wine/drive_c/Archivos de programa
Then you must copy it on
/home/USER/.ies4linux/ie*/drive_c/Archivos de programa

ie* where * is the number of Internet Explorer version you want to use (I only
could run GS at 100% with Internet Explorer 6)
