Help installing wine on Suse 10.2
hey,
i have opensuse 10.2 and im trying to allow for windows programs to be able to run.
i want to run various stuff like Steam for my gaming, and other random stuff.
could anyone please help walk me through installing wine? or if theres something BETTER than wine, id love to hear it... maybe cedega?
i tried installing both on my own but to no prevail. i recently switched from xp to suse. im a god at windows os's but a complete noob to linux os's and linux kernels.

To install wine do YAST -> Software -> Software Management -> Search. Enter wine in the search field and then select it for installation.

ok. thats a hell of alot easier than trying to do it myself via wine.com or whatever =/
downloading/installing or whatevertf now. ill report back with the results in a few.

well somehow i lost my cd1 somewhere in the trunk of my car, and its night, and my light in the trunk is broken soo i shall try this in the morning.

ok so i cant find my cd anywhere.
is there an online repository i can use to install wine?

it says i shouldnt import the untrusted gnupg key.
should i just not worry and do it anyway?
says it cant have a trust relationship.
it also said that it had a problem syncing with zen networks something about zmd error blah blah blah

I suggest you go back to the OpenSUSE 3rd party repository page Additional YaST Package Repositories - openSUSE and select things again.

ok. does the dvd have wine and codecs and all that stuff? and how would i use the dvd?
i have the dvd btw. in my drive
