Angry does wine work in ubuntu 6.06?

hi ,
i have installed wine in ubuntu 6.06 just using this command
apt-get install wine

but i am not able to run any .exe file , i just click on open with wine ,to all my .exe files but i will not get anything , i dono what is the reason , no error mesg i even dono process is executing or not

what to do

Try using the command line because this may give you some clues as to whats going wrong e.g.

i am getting the follwing error and sysytem strucks after this mesg

It seems like Indian English language is not recognised, so WINE is defaulting to US English. I am not sure why it won't install the package after the error message. The package you want to install seems to be Realplayer. There is a native Linux version which is available from the RealPlayer website.

i have tried for all of my .exe files but unabel to get any resultexcept this messages

I don't use Ubuntu (or WINE these days), so I don't know what definitely works. Also consider asking your questions in the official WINE forums.
