LotusNotes with wine in Opensuse 10.3 64 bit

Hello,

I have been using Lotus Notes with wine in OpenSuse 10.1 and later on in 10.3 with i586 kernel without any problems. I have a dual boot machine with windows as well as linux. The lotus notes application is installed in windows on a separate vfat partition which I share between linux and windows. I had to just configure the drive letters in winecfg, before getting the lotus notes to run in linux. It used to run without any problems except for an ocassional crash when i selected user preferences from the menu, which i understand is a bug.

I got a new laptop with 64 bit processor and decided to install OpenSuse
10.3 with 64 bit version. However, I got some wierd errors while trying to run lotusnotes with wine. I decided to upgrade my wine version and upgraded from from 0.9.46 to 0.9.59-1.1

I deleted my ./wine folder under home directory and configured wine with the winecfg command and assigned proper drive names.

After doing this when i execute the wine command for lotus notes, i got
the following error message.

nsridhar at NSIBM2:~> winecfg
wine: creating configuration directory '/home/nsridhar/.wine'...
Could not load Mozilla. HTML rendering will be disabled.
wine: '/home/nsridhar/.wine' created successfully.

nsridhar at NSIBM2:~> wine /windows/D/Program\ Files/lotus/notes/nlnotes.exe
err:module:attach_process_dlls "MSVCR71.dll" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"D:\\Program
File\\lotus\\notes\\nlnotes.exe" failed, status c0000005

I decided to copy the mscvr71.dll file from /windows/C/windows/system32
to /home/nsridhar/.wine/drive_c/windows/system as well as system32 directory. Even after doing this, I get the same error

wine /windows/D/Program\ Files/lotus/notes/nlnotes.exe
err:module:attach_process_dlls "MSVCR71.dll" failed to initialize, aborting
err:module:LdrInitializeThunk Main exe initialization for L"D:\\Program
Files\\lotus\\notes\\nlnotes.exe" failed, status c0000005

Any guidance on solving this error and running lotusnotes with wine will be appreciated.

Regards

N. Sridhar
