Install windows application on Linux using WINE, HELP
Trying to install a windos based app onto a linux client PC. The app is an Avaya CTI app, however having never seen Linux, im not sure whjat to do. I know it would seem that you need to runa program called WINE however
1. How do you run this
2. When running how to you install a windows app?
Please Help

They do a CVLAN server for linux, any good?

when u have wine installed go here http://www.geocities.com/foxem2001/rpm.html but replace rpm -iv with wine and make it your default programme to open .exe files now you windows app's will be like windows click and run.

Tip :
while installing wine make sure you are logged in as a non-super user ( log in other than root ) . And look for a Graphical installer called winsetuptk to install wine.
Though wine is a success story, dont be certain that all of your windows applications will run at the very first attempt without tweaking things a bit.
