I agree that it will not be easy and a not good idea to change something in the different interfaces (kde,gnome,xfce and others).
Finally, the most simple thing would be that the program can open the Linux Pathname, when running on Linux.
I do not understand why this do not work for the programs which I'm developing. Possibly it is a feature of the program itself, or comes from a routine at some low level, but I do not see where.
My questions are :
Does it exists some Windows program running with WINE on LINUX and that can accept Linux pathnames ? In such a case, I will look more deeper in my programs...
Or Is there any theoretical reason why this would be impossible ?
