    Upgrading wine

    Hi guys,
    I have wine of version 0.9.46. I want to upgrade it to a new version 1.1.12.. I downloaded the tar.gz package of the new version. But when i tried to configure the new version, it gave a error saying that it cannot find a flex package... What exactly is this flex package?

    And also should i uninstall the old version before installing the new one?

    You should be able to update Wine using your package manager. What distro are you using?
