You can install it with the command:

Code:
sudo apt-get install wine

This guide gives you a smooth Wine-Installation with all helpful programs. Following this guide might or might not make your wine 'better', but it certantly won't make it worse, and might resolve some future problems.

You can also use the Synpatic Packadge Manager, located in your System > Administrative > Synaptic Packadge Manager
type 'wine' there in the search field, (or any other application) and it will locate it.

going for Applications->Add/Remove and then type WineHQ is not such a bad idea either.
