installation of wine

after i download ver 1.14 which come with .rpm, i try to click it in my acer one, it prompte me to key in pass word. when i down load ver 1.0, after i un zip it, i can't find ant execute file for installation.

any can advise how?

Use the package manager of your distro to install software. Wine is available on virtually 100% of the linux distros.

Distro is short for Linux Distribution i.e. The name of the version of Linux you are using e.g. Fedora 9, Ubuntu 8.04 etc.

I think that Linpus is based on Fedora. You might be able to install and manage software packages using rpm, yum or synaptic. Try looking for synaptic around your menus, or open a terminal and try to run it from there.

Don't you have a printed Linpus manual or something like that? If you have, then the procedure to install software in Linpus should be described there.

i am stuck when it ask for password (following this link). i rememeber correctly that i did not set any password in my acer one. any one know of any default passsword for acer one?
