    Question How do i Install Wine HQ


    Hey all


    Plz PLZ help me out i need to install Wine HQ inorder to use .exe files

    Plz show or give a link to where i can find or Something

    Most modern distro's have WineHQ in the repo. Just open up the package manager, enter the root password and search for 'wine'.

    If you don't know how to do this, or it doesn't work, or you can't find it, please specify which distro you are running. I never found it remotely difficult to install wine on any of the distro's, but the exact way how to do this is (unfortunately for you) one of the Big Differences between the various distro's.

    Think of it this way, every city has a railway station, but if you ask the address of the railway station then we need to know in which city you are

    Im running Ubuntu 7.10 i did find the manger things you were talkin about but it does not work

    Btw i dont know if im useing the right way to install stuff

    Im a noob and i really need help getting around Linux

    I have used WIN all my life and i want to use linux so i dont understand pretty much everything

    you need to upload your image to an image hosting service in order for us to see it, open terminal and execute
    Code:
    sudo apt-get install wine
    and post output
