Red face Running GAMS

I tried installing GAMS from GAMS Home Page for linux but couldn't make it... On the other hand I just used the .exe file and it installed using Wine without problems... Thus far I have used Wine to run KeyNote, ChessPad and GAMS... Interesting but that pretty much is what I needed to be Windows free... Would love to be able to run Chesspositiontrainer but if I can't it is not going to be the end of the world...
