What are you using to try and install counterstrike on Linux? There is no ActiveX on Linux, this is a Microsoft invention that works only with Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Isn't activeX MS's name for Javascript or summat like that?
- 10-12-2004 #4No. ActiveX is a content delivery mechanism that operates with the OS on a much lower level than Javascript, and is proprietary to Microsoft only. Javascript does not allow you to install/uninstall/patch applications on your computer (ActiveX does, hence the proliferation of viruses/trojans/worms that can be installed without your knowledge by simply accessing your website).
