Sims 2?
I got the Sims 2 Double Deluxe and the Sims 2 Pets awhile ago, while I was still on Windows before I swapped to Linux. I really miss Sims now, and I can't go back to Windows because the reason why I changed to Linux is because of viruses eating up Windows. I really, really want to play it again, but my computer (the one on Linux) is the only computer in the house that has a DVD drive, and I can't figure out how to download it on Linux! My computer reads the disk just fine, but there isn't a Download option or anything... is Sims 2 compatible with Linux, or am I doing something wrong?
Help, please!

No, The Sims 2 is not compatible with Linux. There was a Linux version of the first Sims game available for purchase at one time through TransGaming, but I'm not sure if it's still around. The only way you might be able to run Sims 2 is using a go-between program like WINE. Judging from these entries from other people trying... you're not likely to have much luck.
