[SOLVED] Veoh Web Player Beta (How to Remove)
Hi!
I tried to install veoh web player on my Fedora using wine. There seems to be an issue with my graphics so i decided to uninstall. I can't seem to remove the shortcut under the Applications tab. I went as far as to removed completely the wine "yum remove wine*" and removed succesfuly wine but he veoh still irritatingly remains.
May I please ask for some assistance on how I can completely remove veoh please?
Thanks in advance!nujinini

Are you using Gnome?
Use Alacarte to edit the Gnome menu, and away we go!Code:yum install alacarte

Hello Mike Tbob,
Anyway, this is what I got:
The problem is more of trying to uninstall a program in wine (veoh). I wanted to remove it since its not working anyway. Is there a way I can do it in terminal?Code:[root@localhost ~]# yum install alacarte Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit Setting up Install Process Package alacarte-0.11.6-4.fc10.noarch already installed and latest version Nothing to do [root@localhost ~]#
I was trying something and found this in the terminal:
I was not able to remove it from the menu even after rm -rfCode:[root@localhost ~]# locate veoh /home/jun/.local/share/icons/68ec_veohwebplayer.0.png [root@localhost ~]# rm -rf /home/jun/.local/share/icons/68ec_veohwebplayer.0.png [root@localhost ~]# locate veoh /home/jun/.local/share/icons/68ec_veohwebplayer.0.png [root@localhost ~]#

Alacarte is a Gnome menu editor, you should be able to remove Veoh from the menu with that. As far as uninstalling, try using Wine to run the uninstaller in the .wine/C:/program folder. I also think it's safe to just delete that folder because all the installed files are put there by Wine and not scattered all over the hard drive like Windows would do.

Done! Alacarte did the job. Just had to uncheck and gone.
Thanks
