Unhappy KOTOR no sound in Wine

When I start KOTOR in wine it starts fine, it opens up the menu with options of game, config, update, and exit. Now, here the sound works fine but once i click game no sound for the rest of the game. I've tryed all in game sound settings and i get nothing, also I've been in wine config audio and tryed all the drivers still nothing. I can still play the game but it would be nice to have sound.

I'm running ubuntu 10.04 with wine 1.3.4 and v1.00 KOTOR

    Thank you in advance

Just a thought... often sound cards get "claimed" by an application denying it to another app. For instance, if I try to play a Youtube video while running Steam, the sound will be erratic or not at all in the video. Try closing all apps that need your sound card, wait a minute and restart the game. Worth a try I guess...
