    wine: JMP statistical softare graphical errors

    I use JMP statistical software and need help trouble shooting the installation using WINE. There is a odd graphics issue. The graphics for certain windows are misaligned. Attached to the post are are screen shots

    At load there is a ODBC Error:

    ODBC Error: Unable to allocate Environmental hand

    Please note that I have installed JMP using wine with a previous version ( 1yr ago) of wine / jmp / and Xubuntu distribution software u
    I do not have a license for the Linux version.

    It is a graphical issue but I am not sure where to proceed next.

    xbuntu 10.04 
    Wine 1.2
    JMP 8.02
    Graphics: Linux-x86; Nvidia driver: 96.43.18

    I can be found either 40 miles west of Chicago, in Chicago, or in a galaxy far, far away.
    Well, that nvidia driver is WAYYYY out of date. The current driver is 260.19.xx or such. Even the proprietary nvidia drivers for Ubuntu should be more up-to-date than what you have installed. Check the System->Administration->Hardware_Drivers tool and see what they recommend from the two or three nvidia drivers that should be in the list.
    Sometimes, real fast is almost as good as real time.
