    wine patches

    hello everyone, im using mint 10 and need to install some patches into wine but I cant figure out how to install them or even make them a patch, I have followed some guides but whatever I do I get this
    patching file dlls/wined3d/surface.c
    Hunk #1 FAILED at 4937.
    1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file dlls/wined3d/surface.c.rej
    what am I doing wrong? can anyone give me step by step on what to do?
