Half-Life 2 and sound
Iīm using cedega 4.2.1, but I figured this would be the best forum...
I have the same problems in HL2
I have downloaded CS:S and Half-Life 2
This took a long, long time, but it worked fine (steam and everything)
Half-Life 1, TFC, and CS all work fine
Now when I start up CS:S, it says that another app is using my sound
Thatīs fine, sound wonīt work for me in cedega anyway...
The problem is that the only way to get the button that comes up to be clicked on is to ctrl+esc out of CS:S
Then I canīt get back in...
Anybody know how to get this message to simply go away?

It's pure ******** when they say its fully supported, because it isnt really, what gfx card you got ati? ati's are the worst kind of card you could have with cedega, that might be related to your problems

Yeah, I have problems with HL2 and Cedega (CVS) too. My sound works, but graphics don't. On HL2 I get all these wierd artifacts and other crap, and I can't look aroundIt's pure ******** when they say its fully supported, because it isnt really, what gfx card you got ati? ati's are the worst kind of card you could have with cedega, that might be related to your problem
CS:source doesn't work period--only a black screen. Is all of this because I have an ATI? I was thinking about actually buying Cedega there for a while, but not now. I mean, come on, they make you pay for this half asked garbage? It throws about just as many fixme's and err's in consols as regular wine does. Give me a break!

Re: Half-Life 2 and sound
Have you tried modifying the "Drivers" line of your cedega config file? Look at the WinMM section, and see which line isn't commented.
