I installed wine with the rpm file wine-20050310-1fc3winehq.i686.rpm...
when i try to run wine i get this message
[root@localhost root]# wine
wine: creating configuration directory '/root/.wine'...
/usr/bin/wineserver: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3.2' ...

Starting wine
I installed wine with the rpm file wine-20050310-1fc3winehq.i686.rpm...
when i try to run wine i get this message

I am working with Red Hat 8.0 (tomorrow when my download is finished i will work with 9.0)
I have installed the rpm's for glibc_2.3.2 but it makes no sence.... can anywone help me?

You can always try compiling! And why would some run wine with root account?

You could use a precompiled version of wine
