ESRI's ArcGIS products
Currently I support a number of students running ESRI's ArcGIS programs on Windows PC's. Given that a lot of the support work I do is cleaning malware off of the student's laptops, I got to wondering, would it be possible to run ArcGIS (9.1 currently) in Wine on Linux?
Has anyone tried this, or have any tips for trying this? Specifically, we would need to get ArcDesktop, and ArcWorktation running.

From everything I can find, they do have Linux versions of the server products (ArcSDE, ArcIMS, ArcObjects) but not for ArcMap, ArcCatalog or the rest of the ArcInfo stuff. And the server side isn't really a problem, we control those and keep them clean. The client side is where I run into all of my trouble.
